Cleveland Firefighter, Children Hurt in Blaze

Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that sent three children and a fireman to a hospital.

CLEVELAND --

Three children were injured in a fire and hospitalized Friday morning.

Fire officials said a fire broke out in an occupied home the 3200 block of E. 116th Street, but offered no other details about the blaze.

Cleveland EMS confirmed it transported three children, who were injured in the fire, to local hospitals, at about 12:45 a.m. A firefighter, who became weak while fighting the blaze also had to be hospitalized.

Fire crews remain on the scene investigating the cause of the fire.
