Fire Rips Through Texas Apartments
CONROE, Texas --
A two-alarm fire ripped through a Conroe apartment building on Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Conroe fire officials said a resident reported the fire in building nine of the Redford Park Apartments in the 800 block of Gladstell Street at about 5 p.m.
Firefighters from The Woodlands Fire Department, the Lake Conroe Fire Department, the River Plantation Volunteer Fire Department and Needham Volunteer Fire Department helped fight the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials said it appears that a plumber repairing a pipe ignited insulation and deteriorated wood studs in the wall.
The fire spread to the attic and neighboring apartments, officials said. It was brought under control at about 6:15 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
