ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. --
A woman was shot inside her home early Tuesday morning, moments after someone tried to set the house on fire.
Ocoee police investigators are working to determine why someone targeted the home on Hedgerow Circle and opened fire on a woman inside then pistol whipped her. Forensic investigators have been on scene combing through the area for evidence.

Home Invader Sets Fire, Shoots Woman
When officers arrived at the home they found a woman with gunshots to her legs and some minor facial injuries. She was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. A second person was inside the home but was unharmed.
"It's scary as heck," said Herb Wilks, next door neighbor.
Herb Wilks lives right next door to where the shooting happened. Originally, firefighters were called to the scene because Wilks saw flames. Seconds later, he heard gun shots.
"I heard a noise that I thought was fireworks but it wasn't. It was a gun shot."
Neighbors say the home invader set two small fires near the front of the home. Wilks said that he helped douse the fire that was burning after the suspect fled the scene.
Although Ocoee police are refusing to speak to Eyewitness News on camera, they did say that the incident was not random and that they do know the identity of a suspect who they are trying to track down.
