SHOREWOOD, Wis. --
Three people were taken to area hospitals after a fire at an apartment complex in Shorewood.
The fire started just before 11 p.m. Tuesday at the River Park Apartments near Oakland and Edgewood avenues.
When North Shore firefighters got to the scene, they rescued a resident hanging from a second floor window. That person and two others were taken to the hospital.
Damage is estimated at $65,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
