A firefighter was safely rescued from a pool as he battled a three-alarm fire in an incorporated area Tarrant County on June 10.
He was firefighter was positioning a handline at the raging fire and he fell into a backyard swimming pool on the property. Several firefighters working in the area came to his aid and pulled him to safety.
Several departments, including Rhome and Fort Worth, responded to the fire on Park Drive. A number of tankers were used to shuttle water to the fire because the area was without a municpal water supply.
The fire broke out as a storm rolled through the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and officials believe the fire was caused by lightning.
The fire started in the attic of the home that was recently renovated.
