Old Fruit of The Loom Plant Burns in Kentucky

TAYLOR COUNTY, Ky. --

Fire crews are on the scene of an explosion and blaze at the old Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

The Taylor County Sheriff is not reporting any injuries at this time.

The facility is currently used for storage. The Fruit of the Loom plant opened in 1952, but was closed in June 1998. The plant employed more than 4,000 people in the 1980s.
