Florida Crews Pull Woman from Fire
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. --
A special needs woman is recovering in the hospital after an Orange County Firefighter pulled her out of a burning home Friday night.
When firefighters arrived at the home on Crisan Court, heavy smoke was coming from the roof. While searching the house for victims they found a woman with down's syndrome inside one of the bedrooms.
The woman was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The victim's mother was out exercising when the fire started.
According to investigators the fire was started by a kitchen stove. The victim's mother says they just got a new stove and that it had been malfunctioning.
