CLINTON, Md. -- A firefighter was hurt while battling a house fire in Clinton in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
At 1:10 a.m. Wednesday morning, Prince George's County fire crews reported to a house fire on the 9700 block of Frank Tippet Road in Clinton to find flames billowing from a two-story single family home.
The house fire was designated a "task force fire" (bigger than a one-alarm fire but less than two alarms).
The fire reportedly started in the basement and spread to both the first and second floors of the home.
The family got out safely, while one firefighter suffered minor burns and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
