SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A massive fire destroyed a building under construction at a church in Santa Ana on Thursday morning.

The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on 3rd Street and Grand Avenue.

When firefighters arrived, flames had already completely engulfed the 9,000-square-foot addition.

It took about 60 firefighters to bring the blaze under control.

The fire was contained to the structure that was under construction.

Firefighters saved the main part of the church.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

Services were cancelled Thursday, but are set to resume on Saturday.
