Eleven people lost their home to fire after trying to keep warm with a space heater.
Tones sounded on Jan. 20 at 11:32 a.m. for a possible structure at the 400 block of Hunt Ave in Richmond.
Responding were Quints 15, 16, 14, 5, Rescue 2 and Battalion 1. Quint 15 marked on scene first and reported smoke and flames showing from a two-story wood frame house, exposures were on the B and D sides. Quints 15 and 14 launched an aggressive fire attack. Quint 16 performed ventilation, Quint 5 was RIT and Rescue 2 performed search and rescue.
The fire had extended into the attic. The fire was marked under control at 12:05 p.m.

Officials said the cause of the fire is accidental and believe to have been started by a space heater too close to a bed.
