CINCINNATI --

Careless smoking is being blamed for a house fire in Fairview Heights.

The fire broke out at a home in the 2300 block of Flora Avenue at about 1:43 a.m. Sunday.

Firefighters said that the small fire was quickly extinguished.

The damage is being estimated at $10,000.

Twenty-five firefighters were called to the scene to put the fire out.

No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
