Firefighter, Civilian Injured In Baltimore Blaze

The firefighter was hurt when the roof of the building collapsed.

BALTIMORE --

A Baltimore firefighter was injured and another person suffered burns when a fire consumed a two-story building on Friday evening.

Investigators said the fire started in an apartment above a grocery store at 1821 N. Wolfe St.

The firefighter was hurt when the roof of the building collapsed. He was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment. There is no immediate word on the severity of his injuries.

Firefighters have not released the name of the second person who suffered burns and they have not announced how they think the fire started.
