BULLSKIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. --
A woman inside a burning Fayette County home jumped from a window to safety.
Two people made it out of the house along Greenbrier Road in Bullskin Township.
A 50-year-old woman was in the house with her daughter-in-law when the fire started around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
She tried to get out, when she realized her daughter-in-law was still inside. She went back in and had to jump out the window to safety.
She broke her ankle and was taken to Frick Hospital. Both women were treated for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters from five departments had to pump water from a pond more than a mile away.
Officials said they do not know how the fire started.
