Firefighter Injured in Maryland Blaze

Firefighters said that a broken gas line in the home fed the fire.

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. --

A firefighter is injured and crews are still at the scene of a two-story house fire at a home in the 3700 block of Courtleigh Drive in Randallstown.

Baltimore County Fire Department spokeswoman Elise Armacost told WBAL-TV that the fire broke out at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday

WBAL-TV has learned that the fire started in the basement of the home.

Firefighters said that a broken gas line in the home fed the fire.

The injured firefighter was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and treated for smoke inhalation, fire commanders said.

No one else was injured by the fire and firefighters were able to put it out by 6:22 p.m.

Investigators have not said yet what started the fire.

WBAL-TV has a crew on the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.
