PONTIAC --
Pontiac firefighters won't be getting vacation time for a while.
The Pontiac Fire Department chief said he's stopping all vacations from January until June to cut down on overtime.
Thirty firefighters must be on staff every day, and combined with vacations, the chief said that's meant too much overtime.
Since the summer, overtime has cost the city $750,000.
Pontiac is $6 million in debt.
The firefighters union said it will file a grievance.
