ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --
Firefighters are investigating what sparked a fatal mobile home fire in southeast Albuquerque early Wednesday morning.
One man was killed when flames consumed his home in the Four Hills Mobile Home Park near Central and Juan Tabo.
Flames were shooting out of the mobile home when fire crews first arrived at the scene. Firefighters had to break down a door to get inside. They found the elderly man dead inside, lying next to a walker and an oxygen tank.
Investigators said they did not know how the fire started. But, they do not believe the oxygen tank contributed to the flames.
Albuquerque police are also investigating. They have shut down roads in the mobile home park to set up a crime scene.
