Ohio Man Suffers Fatal Burns in Blaze

Another man was rescued from the roof and was uninjured.

DAYTON, Ohio --

A house in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue in Dayton had two men trapped inside when the flames broke out Saturday morning.

This was an accidental fire that was started by a candle.

One man managed to get to the roof, where firefighters rescued him, but another man, Douglas Manuel, 39, in was found inside with severe burns over 50 percent of his body. Manuel was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he later died.

The man who was rescued from the roof was not injured. Damages were estimated at $ 20,000
