An early morning mobile home fire has claimed the life of a two-year-old girl in south Baldwin County.

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Ala. --

An early morning mobile home fire has claimed the life of a two-year-old girl in south Baldwin County.

The blaze erupted just after 5 a.m., according to Magnolia Springs Fire Chief Joby Smith. He identified the young victim as Nicole Marie Horton.

Smith said the girl's parents managed to escape the flames unharmed. He said they were unable to rescue their child. How it started remains under investigation.
