SEATTLE --
Two people were critically injured in a two-alarm fire at an apartment building in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood.
Dana Vander Houwen of the Seattle Fire Department said a man in his 30s was hurt after jumping from the third story of the building. The other victim was a woman in her 70s who suffered respiratory distress.
The fire appears to have started in the attic of the three-story building on South Henderson Street. An estimated 65 to 70 firefighters responded to the fire and kept the damage primarily contained to the building's roof.
