CHICAGO --

Emergency crews were at the scene of a fire early Tuesday in the West Side's Garfield Park neighborhood.

Emergency crews responded to the fire near the intersection of Madison and Francisco avenues at about 6:20 a.m., according to a Wood District police officer.

Sky5's Mike Lorber said that the flames could be seen shooting from the rear of the two-story building and traffic on the nearby streets was halted as firefighters battled the blaze.

CTA buses were temporarily rerouted.
