Oklahoma Firefighter Injured in Motel Blaze

A firefighter was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. However, there is no word as to the extent of his injuries.

OKLAHOMA CITY --

A metro firefighter was injured battling a blaze in western Oklahoma City on Monday, authorities say.

Authorities confirmed the fire was at a Residence Inn, located at 4361 W. Reno Ave. Witnesses reported seeing heavy flames shooting from the top of the motel and heavy smoke in the area.

The fire was contained to the motel's office building, authorities said.
