21 Cats, 2 Dogs Killed in Florida Fire

At least 23 animals were killed in an Orange County mobile home fire on Friday morning, according to officials.

The mobile home, located at 13600 Wesleyan Boulevard near Lake Pickett Road and East Colonial Drive, caught fire at about 8 a.m., killing 21 cats and two dogs, Orange County fire officials said.

The owner of the home was at work at the time of the blaze. No one was injured, but at least 36 animals were inside, according to fire officials.

The other animals, 10 cats and three dogs, were taken to a veterinary hospital.

Officials said the mobile home was "significantly damaged."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
