It happened along Kirk Avenue at West Amelia Street in Orlando.

Authorities said the fire ignited just after 5 a.m., and the blaze had engulfed about one-quarter of the house when firefighters arrived.

The body was found during a second search of the structure.

Homicide investigators from the Orange County Sheriff's Office were called to investigate, and they said the death was considered suspicious.

Authorities said they responded to a call of shots fired near the scene of the blaze earlier on Wednesday. They said nothing suspicious was found at the time.
