Firefighters rushed to the a blaze at a factory in Southington early Saturday morning, saying the fire was hard to put out because of the age of the building.
The fire apparently started in a business called Jetscrew Machine, which is located toward the back of the building.
Southington Fire Department Captain Harold Clark said the structure of the building made it difficult to contain the blaze. We were lucky to keep it out of the old part of the building, he said.
No one was injured in the blaze and firefighters were able to save one side of the building.
