Maryland Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze

Fire officials said the fire may have started on the porch.

LAUREL, Md. --

Firefighters are battling a massive building fire in Prince George's County.

News4's Cheryl Butler reported that the blaze broke out at a historic mansion known as the Linzey Building in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard in Laurel. The building dates back to the 1880s, Butler said. The H.T. Brown Insurance Agency bought the property and currently runs a business from it, Butler said.

Fire officials said the fire may have started on the porch.

Two firefighters were burned while battling the huge fire. Officials said they believe the firefighters' injuries are minor.

No one else was injured.
