NEW ORLEANS --
A two-alarm fire in the 9th Ward claimed a mans life Friday morning.
Fire officials said a 63-year-old died when fire claimed his home at the 900 block of Andry St.
Firefighters said the right side of the single-family wood-framed home was ablaze when they arrived at 4:44 a.m.
Officials confirmed the fatality around 5:24 a.m.
Family members said the man lived alone and had limited mobility.
The cause of death and the fires cause remained under investigation on Friday morning.
