BALTIMORE COUNTY --
A local elementary school was closed Monday after an early-morning house fire.
The fire at a three-story single family home in the 1300 block of Sulphur Spring Road in Arbutus was reported shortly before 6:30 a.m.
When fire crews arrived, they encountered flames coming from all three floors and feared the structure might collapse.
No injuries have been reported.
Arbutus Elementary School closed at 10:30 a.m. because of the fire. Students were transferred to a middle school to be dismissed from there.
