Kansas City Fire Truck Collides with Car

Four firefighters were taken to hospitals to be checked over, but none was seriously hurt.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --

A Kansas City fire truck on its way to a fire call collided with a car Monday morning at Bannister Road and Highway 71.

Fire Battalion Chief Joe Vitale said four firefighters were taken to hospitals to be checked over, but none was seriously hurt.

The driver of the car was also taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Vitale said the fire truck's lights and sirens were activated.

Police are investigating the crash.
