ORLANDO, Fla. --

Rescuers couldn't save a person who died in a mobile home fire that firefighters called "unsurvivable."

Orange County firefighters were dispatched early Wednesday morning to a fire at 601 North Hastings St. that was fully engulfed upon their arrival.

Emergency personnel had to close a nearby stretch of Colonial Drive from Hastings to Kirkman to allow fire hoses to be pulled across the roadway.

Investigators said there was only one occupant at home.
