Two Rescued from Los Angeles Cliff
LOS ANGELES --
A 24-year-old woman with head injuries was airlifted off a cliff in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday, and firefighters walked an injured man off of the same precipice.
The pair were rescued from Bronson Canyon, known as the location of the "batcave" from the 1960s television series "Batman."
The woman was in serious condition and airlifted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The man suffered various cuts and bruises and was walked by firefighters from a precarious position on the cliff.
Emergency crews were sent to the scene in the 5800 block of Franklin Avenue shortly before 2 p.m., said d'Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department. It was unclear how the couple became stuck on the cliff.
