Climber Rescued After Fall from Pennsylvania Cliff

Rescue crews pulled a climber to safety Wednesday night after he fell more than 100 feet down a cliff in Bucks County.

Rescue crews pulled a climber to safety Wednesday night after he fell more than 100 feet down a cliff in Bucks County.

Chopper 10 was live over the scene at Ralph Stover State Park in Tinicum Township.

The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. near Tory Road, and rescues performed a high-angle rescue to get the man out, strapping him to a stretcher and using a line and manpower to lift him to safety.

The man was placed into an ambulance after 6:30 p.m., and he was then flown to St. Lukes Bethlehem Hospital.

Police said he suffered broken bones but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
