2 Maryland Firefighters Injured In Separate Blazes

Two Baltimore County firefighters are recovering from injuries suffered in a pair of house fires.

BALTIMORE COUNTY --

Two Baltimore County firefighters are recovering from injuries suffered in a pair of house fires.

The first fire occurred at about 11:53 p.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Pikeswood Drive. The injured firefighter was treated and released at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. One of the occupants of the house was also taken to a hospital.

Officials aren't sure what caused the one-alarm fire.

The second house fire occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday in the 11000 block of Bird Grove Road in White Marsh. It took firefighters more than an hour to control the blaze.

The injured firefighter was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The fire is under investigation.
