BALTIMORE --

Firefighters went door-to-door Saturday, warning community members about fire dangers.

The sweep was spurred by last weeks fire in Perry Hall.

Fire crews took questions and informed residents on how to prevent and deal with fires.

They said they want to use the recent fires to educate the public.

Six people were rescued from the Perry Hall fire, but one man later died at a hospital.

Investigators said an improperly discarded cigarette sparked the fire.
