Federal Firefighter Arrested in Sex Sting

He allegedly arranged to have sex with a woman and her young daughter.

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. --

Lake County detectives said they arrested a firefighter with the U.S. Department of Defense for allegedly arranging to have sex with a woman and her 8-year-old daughter.

According to investigators, Mark Farwell of North Carolina arrived to meet the pair and discovered the mother he'd been chatting with online for 10 months was actually a detective.

Farwell was in Ocala visiting his parents when he made the trip.

He's been arrested and charged with traveling to meet a minor and other various computer-related charges.
