PRICE HILL, Ohio --
A two-alarm fire in Price Hill injured a firefighter late Sunday evening.
Fire broke out at 1117 McPherson Avenue around 10:30 p.m.
The first firefighters to arrive found the second story of the single-family home engulfed in flames.
According to fire Capt. Michael A. Washington, "Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior fire attack, during the attack one firefighter fell through the second floor."
A "mayday" call was announced for the downed firefighter and the firefighter was quickly rescued.
Firefighters sounded a second alarm, which brought additional firefighters and resources to the scene. Forty-five firefighters were summoned to the incident.
According to fire officials, the injured firefighter was transported to an area hospital and is said to be suffering from minor injuries.
One adult and three children were displaced by the house fire. The family is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The Cincinnati Fire Department's Fire Investigation Unit is still investigating the cause of the fire. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
