Ambulance Catches Fire in Ohio Firehouse

Officials said someone was working on the ambulance just before it caught fire in Silvercreek.

SILVERCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio --

Authorities in Silvercreek Township said an ambulance was destroyed by fire.

The fire happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the firehouse in Jamestown.

Officials said someone was working on the ambulance about 30 minutes before it caught fire. Fire officials said they managed to get the fire put out before the flames spread to the rest of the firehouse.

The ambulance was completely destroyed in the fire.

Fire officials said they were able to get other equipment out of the firehouse without being damaged.
