New Jersey Fire Burns Through Townhouses

Flames spread through a row of attached townhouses, burning through as many as five.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- A row of attached townhouses went up in flames in New Brunswick this morning.

The second-alarm fire broke out inside one of the homes on Simplex Avenue just before 7:30 a.m.

Flames spread through a row of attached townhouses, burning through as many as five.

Firefighters were forced out of the homes by the heavy smoke.

No injuries were immediately reported.
