Florida Fire Crews Battle Salvage Yard Blaze

Fire crews rushed to the scene to calm the blaze that burnt cars and tires in the yard.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. --

A blazing fire just off of interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale caused traffic delays Wednesday afternoon.

The fire occurred at a salvage yard near Oakland Park Boulevard at 1701 N.W. 22 Street, NBC 6 reported. Fire crews rushed to the scene to calm the blaze that burnt cars and tires in the yard.

Chopper 6 HD flew over the blazing inferno, which brought with it thick black smoke.

There is no one inside the property, according to a person from Pride Auto Salvage.
