TARENTUM, Pa. --

A fire is burning at a home in Tarentum in the 900 block of Corbet Street and fire officials said a teenage girl is missing.

Fire crews were called to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. on Friday.

Channel 4 Action News' Ari Hait is at the scene and reported that officials said there were four people in the house. Two were able to escape on their own. An elderly woman had to be rescued by firefighters and was taken to a hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

Hait also reported that fire crews found a 16- or 17-year-old girl trapped inside but were unable to get her out of the house because the flames were so intense.

The girl hasn't been seen since.

At this point, emergency officials said they still consider the girl to be a missing person.

Flames were still seen coming out of the roof of the home at 7 a.m. and Hait reported the fire was still not under control.
