FRANKLIN COUNTY, Penn. -- Four people, including two firefighters, are in the hospital and one person is missing after a fire destroyed a historic inn in Fort Loudon, PA.

Flames were shooting out of the second floor of the Fort Loudon Inn when firefighters arrived at 7:10 a.m.

Pennsylvania State Police won't confirm the age of the missing person, but firefighters were searching for a baby reported to be in the building when the fire broke out.

Two people staying at the inn are in stable condition at Chambersburg Hospital. Two firefighters were hurt when the roof collapsed on them.

According to the Inn's website, www.fortloudoninn.com , the property has eleven efficiency units which are rented weekly for long and short term occupancy.

The main house of the Inn is a stone structure that is believed to date back to the 1790's.

In June 2006, the present owners Dick and Dawn Gogin purchased the property.

It's said that President James Buchanan stayed at the Inn in 1840, prior to taking office.

In December of 1999, an arsonist set the Inn on fire.

No one was hurt and the damage was minimal.

Investigators said the arsonist had set two fires in separate locations at the Inn.
