HOUSTON --

A couple has some of Houston's bravest -- not a stork -- to thank for their special delivery, KPRC Local 2 reported.

The couple were on their way to the hospital Wednesday, but they couldn't make it in time.

They stopped at Houston fire station 51 on Bellaire Boulevard at about 4:30 p.m.

Firefighters laid the woman on the driveway and delivered the baby there.

The mother and baby were taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital and are doing fine.
