BUCKEYSTOWN, Md. -- Three firefighters were injured when their fire truck overturned while responding to an auto fire around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Mike Dmuchowski, Frederick County Fire & Rescue spokesman, says Engine-Tanker 143, from the Carroll Manor Fire Company in Adamstown, had been responding to an auto fire when it overturned at the intersection of Routes 80 and 85 in the Buckeystown area.

Dmuchowski says the 1983 R-Series Mack truck is a 1500-gallon tanker owned by the Carroll Manor Fire Company.

The three firefighters were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The county sheriff's crash team is investigating the accident.
