One person was killed in a fire Tuesday morning in Lebanon.

LEBANON, Pa. --

One person was killed in a fire Tuesday morning in Lebanon.

The fire started at 642 Walnut Street and spread to two other homes.

"We had eight folks displaced through the fire and we have confirmed that there is a fatality in the fire," said Lebanon Mayor Bob Anspach. "There was a person found on the first floor of 642 Walnut Street."

Firefighters said heavy flames were shooting from the front and rear of the buildings when they arrived shortly before 4:30 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
