KANSAS CITY, Mo. --

A fire truck rear-ended a school bus Wednesday morning near 35th Street and Hardesty Avenue at about 8 a.m.

A student on the bus and the bus driver suffered minor injuries.

KMBC's Jana Corrie reported that the wreck happened when a couple of cars stopped because of the slick streets. The fire truck came around the bend, but could not stop in time and rear-ended the bus.
