BALTIMORE --

City fire crews are at the scene of a 4-alarm warehouse fire in the 2100 block of Wicomico Street in southwest Baltimore.

The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Fire department spokesman Chief Kevin Cartwright said when the first units arrived, the building was fully involved and a second alarm was immediately sounded.

He said a couple of floors in the building have collapsed and firefighters were not allowed to go into the building.

Sky Team 11 Captain Roy Taylor said a single-story warehouse that sits adjacent to the engulfed warehouse has also caught fire.

Cartwright said CSX has discontinued train traffic in the area.
