Two Survive Small Plane Crash in Maryland
LAUREL, Md. --
A single-engine plane flipped and crashed near Suburban Airport in Laurel on Saturday afternoon, but both pilot and passenger survived.
The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. in the 520 block of Brock Bridge Road, fire officials said. Firefighters found two people trapped in the wreckage when they arrived.
The pilot, a 66-year-old man, was taken to Baltimore Shock Trauma with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, fire officials said. The passenger was helped out of the plane and suffered no serious injuries.
State police and federal officials were investigating the crash.
