CASSELBERRY, Fla. --

A sleeping man was awakened by the smell of smoke coming from the back of his residence early Friday morning.

Shane Terry said he ran out of his house wearing no clothes to his neighbor's house, who called 911. Terry borrowed a pair of jeans from his neighbor.

When firefighters arrived at the scene on Lake Irene Drive, they had a difficult time getting the blaze under control because no fire hydrants were in the immediate area. As they battled the flames, downed power lines created hazardous conditions. Power company workers quickly arrived and shut off the electricity.

The house was destroyed and Terry said he's lost everything.

No one was injured and no other homes were damaged. As of Friday morning, the state fire marshal had not determined the cause of the fire.
