TROTWOOD, Ohio --
A truck going southbound on State Route 49 turned East onto Turner road and collided with a car going northbound on State Route 49.
The impact of the crash caused both drivers to be trapped in their vehicles and the car caught fire.
An off-duty fireman was driving by the crash, when he noticed the crash and instinctively stopped to help.
Allen Winters pulled both females out of their respective vehicles, including the driver of the car, who he said is 5 months pregnant.
The driver of the car, 28-year-old Brooke Goodman, was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
Trotwood police said the driver of the truck, 62-year-old Jacqueline Maxwell, will be cited with failure to yield.
