Fire Officials are trying to figure out what caused a fire at the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel South plant in Mingo Junction Saturday night.
Emergency officials got the call just before eight o'clock Saturday evening that there were flames at the plant.
Officials at the Mingo Fire Department said the fire happened on the second and third stories of the BOF building.
When crews got to the scene, Captain Jim Raha said a rubber conveyor belt was on fire.
Raha said firefighters had the fire out in twenty minutes, but said employees at the plant already had a head start on the flames.
"They usually start the firefighting until we can get there," said Raha. "Because they have sandpipe systems and fire extinguishers all over the plant, so yes the employees do whatever they can until we get there."
No one was injured in the fire, and crews are still investigating the cause.
Raha said the fire didn't affect production at the plant.
