Female Alabama Firefighter Sues City of Discrimination

A longtime Birmingham firefighter is suing the city, saying she was the victim of sexual discrimination. Thirteen-year veteran Pamela Quick has filed a federal suit against the city, according to The Birmingham News.

Quick accuses the city of providing inadequate living and working facilities for female firefighters. She also accuses some of her co-workers of making insensitive remarks.

The lawsuit also alleges that she was repeatedly harassed after voicing her concerns.

Quick is seeking compensatory damages in her case, according to the report.
